So I guess I should write up the end of my trip to Wisconsin. The last day involved getting up early with Kati to help bake cookies for The Material and Blameshift. That was fucking fantastic. I mean it. It was loads of fun. Not to mention I got an Egg and Cheese bagel from Kati which was incredible; no matter how easy it was to make. Ended up turning on Blameshift once Kati left for work and passed out. Don't even remember laying down. But hey. Woke up a couple hours later and played some Wii Bowling. Shot 17 strikes in a row, still didn't bowl a 300. Fucking garbage! So 5 pm rolled around and Kati brought me some Taco Bell ♥ and we proceeded to get ready for the show. Her friend Suzi joined us for this trip to Chicago. So we go, and we take a small detour to a Toys'R Us. Holy shit it was awesome. HUGE store, awesome toys I didn't even know existed. Gonna have to go to a TRU and get stuff. We make our way to Swing Shift and just kinda stare in awe. The place is nothing more than a house with the walls knocked down to turn it into one huge room, with a bar full of Hookah things. Hung out with The Material and Blameshift for a good hour or so before they went inside to start setting things up. Saw the first act which I think was nothing more than noise, and was horribly composed. I think I made the kid feel bad about himself.. meh. Then Blameshift came on, and blew me away. Much better than their show at Modern Exchange. Much better sound, much better atmosphere. And they called me out to sing the final song with them, dead front and center. Hung out with their Bassist for a good 20 minutes or so until The Material came on. And once again, they killed it. And just like Blameshift, sounded better there. Much better crowd too. And Kati's husband ended up proposing a song to her. Was my favorite song too. Ass >F. But regardless. Colleen had me help sing "The Promise" and "The Long Way Home" with her. And I got to headbang with Jon on like 4 songs. That was incredible. I'll never forget those shows. I got my hat autographed by Jon and Colleen, got myself a Material T-shirt to go with the Blameshift one; and got tons of stickers and new posters. These last 4 days have been incredible, and I am incredibly blessed to have such an awesome friend as Kati who makes the sacrifice to come visit me from Wisconsin. I'm going to miss her incredibly when she moves to Florida. Now it's time to gear up for Youmacon. The room is finally coming together and we might even have a band for the Rock Band tournament. We just need Angela to come back.. but I won't hold my breath. Location: New Boston, Michigan Mood: determined Music: All That Remains - The Air That I Breathe | Powered by Last.fm

So, this week started pretty crazy. Lots of fighting, drama. You name it. But now i'm sitting in Wisconsin at my friend Kati's house, writing this. Just saw "The Girl Next Door" for the first time, and holy shit it was a good movie. BUT, Back to this week. I went to The Modern Exchange Friday and saw Blameshift (Band i'd never heard before but love now) and The Material. OH MY GOD IT WAS AWESOME!! Brandon, Kati, and I went to the venue about an hour early. We expected it to be packed, but it was so empty! Hung out with Jon and Colleen for a good 30 minutes before the venue. Got them to sign my copy of Rock Band 2 (Jon was stoked about that!). Saw some Local band first, then Blameshift. OH GOD THEY KILLED IT! The lead singer signed my Rock Band 2 disc. Then Material came on. And man, they blew me away. Colleen and Jon were all over the stage, it was crazy. They had me sing a couple lines during a couple songs. Then Colleen talked about me requesting a song, and name dropped me. It was hard not to cry during the song. It was so beautiful live. Then we hung out with the band a bit more after the show, got more autographs and tons of pics (i'll be posting them), and then we took off after about 30 minutes. We bumped into Noah in the parking lot and talked with him for a half hour. Fast forward to today. Kati and I hit the road after I went to bowling and came here. Not much exciting here other than OH MY GOD GEORGE WEBBS IS DELICIOUS. I want one in Michigan. Haha. AND A GAMES WORKSHOP THATS ACTUALLY NICE! But i'm done. One long post per 6 months fulfilled. No one reads this shit anyways, haha. Location: Wisconsin Mood: anxious Music: The Material - The Long Way Home
